A Brief History of Barry Larry

Barry Larry (a quokka) has been around on my social media for the past few years (ten maybe?) and has made scattered appearances since that time, more so since October 2023 (I think). I've added in various other characters over the years including his brother Kev and his quokka friends Arthur, Moe, Joe and Rabbit. There's also Ian (an elephant, he actually preceded Barry Larry by a couple of years), Bruce (a polar bear), Harry (a raccoon), Lance (a koala) and Susie Q (a female quokka that Barry Larry likes). Recent additions are Chewie (a Chihuahua) and Aunt Ena Sharp-Paws. I'll get around to finding the earlier posts and put those on a separate page. This page features the recently-began ongoing series that started during June 2026. I didn't know that it would be on-going when I started, but the first idea that led to the first picture below just fed so many ideas I decided to run with them. What the heck eh. If you find this page and enjoy it so much the better, it's meant to be a bit of fun. I use AI because I can't draw for toffee but the ideas for these pictures appeal to my sense of humour and AI is the only way I can get those ideas down.

Why is Barry Larry in the UK rather than any part of Australia? Well, he likes travelling and particularly likes the UK. His mission is to enjoy life as much as possible. That's it. The other animals that are from distant places and who appear in some of the pictures are in the UK for that reason too. Barry Larry and his friends have a harmonious relationship regardless of species.

Chewie makes his first appearance in this one; the idea for him had been running through my head for a couple of days beforehand so I decided to use him here. He has yet to appear more but is an established friend of the others even if we hadn't seen him before.
